We didn't do anything to celebrate July 4th this year. John was traveling back to the United States for work, the boys had school, and I had my research. Interestingly, 2 Argentines wished us a happy Independence day. I was impressed. In the United States, how often do we remember to wish people from other countries happy independence day? I'll have to remember to do so for my Argentine friends in the United States (and other foreigners too).
Instead of celebrating July 4, we celebrated July 9 (Argentine Independence Day) with an acto at Colegio del Salvador and a day off from school on July 8.
